well, im a dude, but a chick i was with for 2 years took the shot. just the shot. she never got pregnant and we didnt use any other form of bc at the same time. she didnt need to take the pill to regulate ot anything. she didnt have any bleeding or weight gain or weight loss or mood alterations or anything. but, anything hormone-based is widely known to have many many varied side effects that dont always happen to everyone
